Installing Kiosk
By default, AlphaCard Visitor Pass Kiosk does not install during the normal install process. To install AlphaCard Visitor Pass Kiosk, you must perform a custom install.
AlphaCard Visitor Pass Kiosk Installation Guide
- To begin, if you don’t have the installer already, download it from the AlphaCard website.
- Once the installation starts, it will first ask you for your language. Please select your language and then click next.
- AlphaCard Visitor Pass will extract the installer for later use.
- The InstallShield Wizard will open. Click Next.
- Please read and agree to the EULA. Then click Next.
- Set the User Name and permission level of the program. We recommend leaving these at default. Click Next.
- Select the Installation Path. We recommend the default Program Files Destination. Click Next.
- Select the Database Path. This is where all of the data, such as your database and designs, will be located by default. Click Next.
- Select Custom Install.
- Select what you want installed – if you don’t need the full AlphaCard Visitor Pass then only select the Kiosk.
- For AlphaCard Visitor Pass Kiosk, select This Feature Will Be Installed on Local Hard Drive.
- Click Install to begin the installation process.
- Allow the install process to go through.
- Once it is done, click Finish.
- Once it is installed, click on the new icon on your desktop to open AlphaCard Visitor Pass Kiosk.
However, in order for AlphaCard Visitor Pass Kiosk to communicate correctly with your central AlphaCard Visitor Pass Secure server you will need to manually connect Kiosk to that server. Please read : Setting up Kiosk.
