How to Install a Mac OS Printer Driver

A Printer Driver is required for a printer to communicate with the computer. This will be a general guide on installing a printer driver on the Mac OS.

If you need to download a printer driver, they can be located on our Printers Page. (Note: Not all printers will have a compatible Mac OS Driver).

How to Install a Printer Driver on a Mac

  1. Download the Driver needed from our Printers Page
  2. Run the driver file from your downloads
  3. The Window should open like this:
  4. Click Continue to proceed with the installation.
  5. This next page will show you how much space will be taken up by the driver. (Space required may vary)
  6. Click Install to begin the installation.
  7. The process may take a minute to complete (depending on computer speed).
  8. Once complete, the driver will tell you if it was successful or not. Click close to exit out of the installation wizard.
