How to Set Up Dual-Sided Printing

This guide will cover how to set up a dual-sided card template for use with a dual-sided ID card printer. Dual-sided cards give you more room to include important cardholder data and other information on the card.

Please note: these designs will not be compatible with a single-sided printer – if you try to print, it will print two cards, not a dual-sided card.

1. Select the Configuration tab in AlphaCard ID Suite.
2. Select the Template Designer.
3. In the Template Designer, select the Page Layout tab.
4. Making sure that Page One is selected, check the box for Printable. The Backside box SHOULD NOT be checked.
5. Then select Page Two, and check the boxes for both Printable and Backside are checked.
6. In the drop down menu in the top lefthand corner, select Page Setup.
7. Select the Template tab. Make sure the box for Print Backside First is unchecked.
8. Finally, save your card template and exit the template designer.

Your card template is now set up to automatically print dual-sided. If you continue to experience problems, please contact AlphaCard technical support.
