How to Calibrate a Ribbon Sensor on a DTC400e
If your DTC400e ID card printer is not properly recognizing your ribbon, either by not recognizing the type of ribbon or acknowledging that a ribbon has been replaced, you will need to calibrate the ribbon sensors on your DTC400e printer.
Please Note: The Fargo DTC400e has been discontinued by the manufacturer. If you need a new printer, the AlphaCard System Selector can help you find the best printer for your needs.
How to Calibrate Ribbon Sensor
- Go to your devices and printers folder.
- Right click on the DTC400e.
- Choose printing preferences.
- Click on the Calibrate tab. Click Sensors.
- Read the instructions and then click Send.
The printer should beep twice if the calibration was successful
