How to Import Data in Professional

For most schools, student and staff records are already created and in use in another application designed solely for schools. Generally speaking, connecting directly to this database can be problematic, so AlphaCard School ID Professional allows you to import data directly from an external source using a .csv file.

How to Import Data

Please Note: Data importing only works with a .csv file.

1. In AlphaCard School ID, go to the Data tab.
2. Click on Import Records.
3. Select the .csv file that you want to import.
4. Map the fields from the .csv to the fields inside the database where you want the data to go.
5. Once you are done, click Import to pull the information in.
