How to Use the Email Call for Help Button in Secure

Unfortunately during the process of checking in visitors, there may be a need for quietly and quickly escalating a message to your internal security department to request help. AlphaCard Visitor Pass Secure includes an an unobtrusive Call for Help button that can send a pre-generated email to an assigned email address.

How to Use Email Call for Help button

The most important part of this setup is making sure that your email alerts are setup correctly in the first place. If you have not enabled email alerts, please visit setting up emails.
Once your email alerts are set up, you are ready to enable the Call for Help button.

  1. Go to the Configuration tab.
  2. Click the Advanced Options button.
  3. In the Advanced Options menu select the Email tab on the left hand side.
  4. In the email tab, select the Blacklist tab.
  5. In this tab, make sure the call for Help Button is checked.
  6. From this screen you can edit the email to set the subject line. You can also use the Edit button to change the copy on the email. You can also set the email address that you want this alert sent to. Once you are done editing these settings, click OK to save your changes.
  7. Now when you pull up a blacklisted visitor, the Call for Help button will be highlighted. Simply click this button to send the email that you created.
