How to Calibrate a Ribbon Sensor on a DTC550

If your DTC550 card printer is not properly recognizing your ribbon, either by not recognizing the type of ribbon or acknowledging that a ribbon has been replaced, you will need to calibrate the ribbon sensors on your DTC550 printer.

Please Note: The Fargo DTC550 has been discontinued by the manufacturer. If you need a new printer, the AlphaCard System Selector can help you find the best printer for your needs.

To Calibrate Your Printer

1. Go to your Devices and Printers folder.
2. Right click on the DTC550.
3. Choose printing preferences.
4. Click the Calibrate tab.
5. Click Sensors.
6. Read the instructions and then click Send.
