How to Calibrate a Film Sensor on a HDP8500

If your ID card printer is not properly recognizing your reverse transfer film, either by not recognizing the type of film or acknowledging that a film has been replaced, you will need to calibrate the sensors on your HDP8500 printer.

To Calibrate Your Printer

1. Go to your Devices and Printers folder.
2. Right click on the Fargo HDP8500, and choose Printing Preferences.
3. Click on the ToolBox.
4. Click on the Calibrate Film tab. Follow the instructions listed on this tab, and then click Calibrate.

Your printer film sensors should now be calibrated and working properly. If you continue to experience problems, please contact AlphaCard technical support.
