How to Resolve a Card Jam in a Primacy/PrimacyID

If your cards keep jamming when you try to print with your Evolis Primacy printer, there are several steps you can take to resolve the issue.

How to Resolve Card Jams

1. Update your printer’s drivers and firmware to the newest versions.
2. Clean your printer. Regularly cleaning the printer will keep out dust and debris, which can damage the print head. Watch the video on how to clean your printer.
3. Try different cards.
4. Make sure the card thickness gage is set for the proper thickness
5. Ensure the cleaning roller is installed in the flipper.
6. Calibrate the card path sensors.
7. Calibrate the flip over module.
8. Make sure you are not using CR79 sized cards.
9. Ensure that you are using the correct power supply (each printer comes with a power supply). Also make sure that the printer is not plugged into a surge protector.
