Fargo HDP5000 double-sided color card printer and double-sided laminator
For industrial strength, high-volume card printing that generates truly professional, photo-quality images, the HDP5000 offers speed, strength and quality at a modest price. The lamination module included with this model will add years of life to your ID badges, making them more secure. Both printing and laminating take place in a single pass, and since the HDP5000 does not use a card flipper to laminate and print on two sides, it saves several seconds of print time per card-- seconds that add up quickly when you're printing thousands of cards at once.
Ideal for large companies, retail stores or other businesses who need to print vast quantities of cards, the HDP5000's unique printing method generates the best-looking photos and images available from a card printer. Instead of printing directly on the card, the HDP5000 prints onto a special film, which is then bonded to the plastic card using pressure and heat. The result? Consistent over-the-edge color, even if embedded smart chips cause ridges in a card's surface. Plus, any attempt to pull the film away from the card will destroy the image, making your ID badges nearly impossible to alter. If you choose, you may install a magnetic stripe encoder or smart chip encoder in the field or the factory so that your printer's functions can expand along with your business. If you need Ethernet networking, you may opt to include the capability to distribute cards over a network, at any location. Whether you represent a chain of retail stores or a multinational corporation, this heavy duty card printer can handle your biggest print jobs.
