Unsure About Your Card Format or Facility Code?
The easiest way to find your card format and facility code is to look at the box your last order came in—the card information will be printed on a label on the box. If you have access to your access control system, you may also be able to find it there.
If you're unsure about your card information and cannot access it, AlphaCard can help—just send us your prox card. If we can read it and duplicate the card, we're happy to produce the cards for you at the best prices available. Contact our sales team for more information.
Composite Card Material
AlphaPass composite cards are made from a combination of PVC and polyester. This blend enhances durability and can withstand higher temperatures, making them ideal for laminating.
Printing on Your Prox Cards
Customize your prox cards for use as employee IDs, staff ID cards, security passes, and more. By default, the cards will have a small brand logo and reference number printed in the lower left-hand corner.
Ordering Pre-Printed Cards
If you prefer not to print your cards in-house, you can order them professionally printed. This option is suitable if you lack an ID card printer or need a large quantity of cards.
You will need to provide the card artwork. Need a design? Our card experts offer a custom card design service.
Additional Details for Pre-Printed Cards:
- Lead time after final approval: 2-3 weeks
- Minimum order quantity: 250 cards
- Additional costs: $0.75 per side for full-color printing, $0.25 per side for monochrome printing
Printing In-House
If you prefer to print on-demand, use an ID card printer. Ensure it is a reverse transfer printer to avoid damage due to uneven card surfaces.
Slot Punch Options
Enhance security and convenience by displaying your ID cards with accessories like lanyards or badge reels. To use these accessories, you'll need to slot-punch the cards.
Ordering Cards Pre-Punched
Choose vertical or horizontal punches when ordering pre-punched cards. Each slot punch adds $0.20 per card.
Note: If you plan to print in-house, avoid ordering pre-punched cards to prevent damage to your printer.
Slot Punching the Cards In-House
If you prefer to punch cards yourself, use punch mark guides provided with the cards. Ensure accurate placement to prevent damage.
