Barcodes are simple and affordable, making this low tech option great for simple card programs. They have long been used on cards for a multitude of basic functions, such as tracking employee attendance or reward points in a customer loyalty program.

Barcodes are printed onto PVC cards during the printing process. With a dual-sided printer, they can be conveniently hidden on the backside of a card. This is more aesthetically pleasing than incorporating barcodes onto the front side of a card. However, for super quick scanning, consider placing barcodes on the front of a card.
To start a barcode card program, you need an ID card printer, ID card software and a barcode reader. Or you may opt for a complete kit, such as the Time & Attendance System, which includes all the other necessities: printer ribbon, blank PVC cards, ID camera and cleaning kit.
