Nuevo Leon’s transport authority, Monterrey Enlaces Inteligentes, is implementing a prepaid smart card program for purchasing public transportation fare throughout the northeast region of Mexico.

74 different transport operators will accept the new payment card. The new card is called Feria, meaning “fair”, and it comes in two designations. One has specially priced fare for students, the elderly and disabled people, while the other card has standard fare for other riders.
Users can load credit on their cards at about 700 different locations around the region.
