It was a shock to many Hawaiians when Aloha Airlines suddenly shut down. Tourists and island hoppers were stuck at the airports and at the moment, many Aloha employees were wondering what they were supposed to do. Even turning in their Aloha Airlines ID badge was hard – their last connection to the employer they lovingly served.

Now, many former Aloha employees are at Hawaiian Airlines instead – and their new employee ID badges has set the news that the days of Aloha air are over. Their new badges have identified them as not only having a job, but a connection to their state and a meaning behind what they do.
Airport ID badges, and employee ID badges in general are more than just pieces of plastic with names, photos and titles on them. They do more than just open doors or start the pay day for some employees. For former Aloha Airlines employees (now Hawaiian Airlines pilots and staff), the new ID badge means a new start in a familiar place.
