Fargo recently introduced a new line of DTC printers and with the release came a heap of new printer ribbons. Conveniently, ribbons for the DTC1000 and DTC4000 printers are also compatible with Persona C30 and DTC400 ID card printers when you upgrade the firmware for your printer.

To upgrade the firmware for your Persona C30 or DTC400 printer, visit the HID/Fargo site where they will walk you through the upgrade process. With just a few simple steps your printer can be made compatible with the new line of ribbons.
Even though Fargo DTC1000 and DTC4000 printer ribbons can be used retroactively, Persona C30 and DTC400 ribbons are not compatible for use with the newer Fargo printers.
