Today Fargo announced new and improved versions of some of its most popular ID card printer models. They’re calling it the E Series line, and it includes the Fargo DTC400e, the Persona C30e, and the Persona M30e. Each of these E Series printers improves upon its predecessor with enhanced versatility, functionality, and network connectivity.

The new Persona printers offer options for Ethernet connectivity for networked printing applications. Additionally, both the Persona C30 and the Persona M30 can be upgraded in-field with modules for dual-sided printing, magnetic stripe encoding, and smart card encoding. The Persona C30 ID card printer also boasts the unique ability to print on rewriteable ID cards as well as thin 9 millimeter cards. Rewriteable cards can be printed, erased, and rewritten up to 200 times which cuts on supply costs as limits excess waste.
The Fargo DTC400e, along with printing high-quality photo IDs on regular cards, also has thin card and rewriteable card printing capabilities. It can run on both Windows and Linux operating systems, and like the Persona printers, offers field-upgradeable options for Ethernet connectivity, dual-sided printing, magnetic stripe, and smart card encoding.
