It’s not often that you have a chance to be a part of Olympic history, but this summer AlphaCard was lucky enough to play a small, supporting role in a momentous fiftieth reunion celebration. When the International Olympic Committee organized a reunion celebration for the athletes from the 1960 games in Rome, AlphaCard designed and printed custom cards for the Hungarian team attending the reunion.

We created two sets of badges, one for all of the athletes and one for the medalists. The cards were used as the team traveled through Rome, revisiting Olympic venues. As a source of pride for the Hungarian team the badges served both as identification and a souvenir from the reunion. If an athlete was not able to travel to the fiftieth reunion their spouses were given the cards.
Unexpectedly, AlphaCard received a keepsake from the reunion as well. As a thank you, all of the surviving medalists from the 1960 Hungarian team signed a commemorative T-shirt. We’re glad our custom cards were able to help mark such a memorable event.
