A few weeks ago, we asked School Administrators how the coronavirus pandemic is impacting their ID badging program. There are still many unknowns for the coming school year, including the potential for more distance learning, so it is important for school administrators to prepare now, over the summer, while schools are closed. Overall, respondent feedback to our survey seemed determined and optimistic to return to normal for the 2020-2021 school year.

We hope you enjoy seeing the results, as shown below, and on a one-page infographic available to download.

Key Conclusions
Here are the main takeaways we gathered from school administrator respondents:

1. Most school administrative staff is currently not working from the office, limiting the production of ID cards.

2.  Over 60% of school administrators are confident their school will be printing ID badges from the office in time for the new school year.

3. Many school administrators believe that their staff and student ID badging program will become more important in the new school year than less important compared to previous school years. Clear, visible identification showing who is approved to access the school ranked as increasingly relevant. It is widely believed that school ID badges can contribute to a healthy and safe school environment.
