The new Magicard Ultima ID card printer is the first reverse transfer printer to feature Magicard's unique HoloKote technology, now with UV printing!

ID card printers help you create eye-catching professional cards and badges on demand, but they aren't always intuitive to use ? until now, because the Magicard Ultima features a large, full-color touch screen that makes it incredibly easy to use.

With the touch screen you can see what design is printing, where in the printing process you are, how many prints are left on your ribbon, run diagnostics and see errors, access the printer menu, and more.

The Magicard Ultima uses reverse transfer printing technology, which prints your image first on a clear film and then applies that film to your cards. This has several key advantages over dye sublimation printing:

Reverse transfer printing is also the ideal print method for printing on technology cards with uneven surfaces such as smart cards.

With the Magicard Ultima, Ethernet and WiFi connectivity also come standard to fit into any office or printing environment. The printer is designed to be set up quickly and easily right out of the box.

The Ultima is the first reverse transfer printer to feature Magicard HoloKote technology! In dye sublimation printers, the HoloKote design is printed using the overlay panel in YMCKO/YMCKOK ribbons. Because reverse transfer printers us specialized YMCK/YMCKK ribbons and retransfer film, to print HoloKote with the Ultima you will need to purchase special YMCKS Secure HoloKote ribbons with an added secure panel.

With HoloKote you can print watermark-like images across your cards, making it easier to identify authentic cards and spot fakes or tampered cards. Choose from ten standard HoloKote designs that come pre-loaded into the printer driver.

The Ultima also supports Custom HoloKote, where you can create your own custom watermark image or text for even more card security. With the Ultima you can add up to 10 Custom HoloKote designs (one Custom HoloKote is included free with purchase). Using the printer driver, you can easily switch between HoloKote designs.

New to the HoloKote technology in the Ultima printer, you can print fluorescent Secure HoloKote watermarks that show up under black light to add even more security to your cards.
