HID 1586 ISOProx II Composite Prox Cards

HID is the leading manufacturer of proximity cards, with access control systems in use at businesses around the world. HID prox cards are compatible with all HID proximity card readers.

ISOProx II composite cards are made from a white composite material (40% polyester, 60% PVC) and are designed to be printed on, making it easy to customize these cards into employee ID badges, staff ID cards, student IDs, security passes, and more. These access control cards are programmed for 125 kHz proximity systems.

Important Information to Know when Ordering Prox Cards

When ordering your HID ISOProx composite cards, you will need three key pieces of information:

• Your card format ? this is most commonly HID Compatible 26 bit (H10301)
• Your facility code ? this will be on the box your current cards came in, and is a number between 0 and 255
• Your sequence start number ? every prox card has a unique sequence number (numbers are between 0 and 65,435) and numbers cannot be repeated, your new card order should start on the next number in the sequence. This will also be on your box.

Keep in mind when ordering HID prox cards:

• Minimum order quantity: 100 cards
• Average lead time: 2-3 weeks

Please note that any customization you do to the cards may impact the order processing time. For a faster turnaround time, consider ordering AlphaPass prox cards instead.

The easiest way to find your card format and facility code is to look at the box your last order came in ? the card information will be printed on a label on the box. It may also be included in your order invoice. If you have access to your access control system, you may also be able to look it there.

Printing on Your Prox Cards

Customize your prox cards for use as employee IDs, staff ID cards, security passes, and more. Custom printing will make your cards easier to identify and eliminate the need to carry additional ID badges.

By default the cards will have a small brand logo and reference number printed in the lower left-hand corner.

If you do not want to print your cards in-house, order them professionally printed by the manufacturer. This is a great option if you do not have an ID card printer, or need to order a large number of cards and cannot handle batch printing in-house.

Pre-printed cards have an additional four to five week lead time, and a minimum order quantity of 500 cards. Printing adds $0.99 per side per card.

Printing on the cards yourself with an ID card printer is the alternative to ordering pre-printed cards. This allows you to print cards on-demand instead of having to order hundreds of cards at a time, especially important if you need to print ID cards with individual cardholder information or a photo.

If you want to print on your HID cards in-house with an ID card printer, it is recommended that you only use reverse transfer ID card printers. Technology cards like HID prox cards can have uneven surfaces because of their embedded chips or antennas, and using a reverse transfer printer will help prevent damage to the printhead.

Select durable composite cards if you plan to laminate ? their specialized materials withstand the added heat of lamination without warping or bending.

Slot Punch Options

Displaying your ID cards with accessories including lanyards or badge reels improves building security and keeps them easily at hand for frequent use during the day. To use the cards with a lanyard or reel, you will need to slot punch the cards.

When you order these prox cards pre-punched by the manufacture, you can choose from either vertical or horizontal punches.

Please note that if you plan to print on the cards in-house with your ID card printer, you should not order pre-punched cards. The rough edges of the slot punches can tear the ribbon and damage your printhead.

If you choose to punch the cards yourself, they will come with punch mark guides ? it is incredibly important that you slot punch your cards in the correct spot. Slot-punching cards in other spots can damage the internal parts and break your cards.
