AlphaPass Prox Clamshell Cards

AlphaPass high quality proximity cards are designed for professional access control systems?rigorously tested to withstand years of use, these cards will help you secure and simplify entry into your building.

Comparable to HID cards at a fraction of the cost and lead time, AlphaPass cards are available with a wide range of customizable options. AlphaPass cards are compatible with many brands of card readers, including HID.

These AlphaPass Clamshell prox cards are made from durable, thick white PVC to withstand daily wear and tear. Used in access control systems in office buildings, large company campuses, schools and universities, and transportation, clamshell prox cards are programmed for 125 kHz proximity systems.

Important Information to Know when Ordering Prox Cards

When ordering your AlphaPass prox clamshell cards, you will need three key pieces of information:

• Your card format?this is most commonly HID Compatible 26 bit (H10301)
• Your facility code?this will be on the box your current cards came in, and is a number between 0 and 255
• Your sequence start number?every prox card has a unique sequence number (numbers are between 0 and 65,435) and numbers cannot be repeated, your new card order should start on the next number in the sequence. This will also be on your box.

Keep in mind when ordering AlphaPass clamshell prox cards:

• Minimum order quantity: 100 cards
• Lead time for orders of 1,000 cards or less: 1-3 business days
• Lead time for orders over 1,000 cards: 3-4 business days

Please note that any customization you do to the cards may impact the order processing time.

The easiest way to find your card format and facility code is to look at the box your last order came in ? the card information will be printed on a label on the box. It may also be included in your order invoice. If you have access to your access control system, you may also be able to look it there.

Printing on Your Prox Cards

Customize your prox cards for use as employee IDs, staff ID cards, security passes, and more. Custom printing will make your cards easier to identify authentic cards and eliminates the need to carry additional ID badges.

By default the cards will have a small brand logo and reference number printed in the lower left-hand corner.

If you do not want to print your cards in-house, order them professionally printed by the manufacturer. This is a great option if you do not have an ID card printer, or need to order a large number of cards and cannot handle batch printing in-house.

You will need to provide the card artwork. Need a design? Our card experts offer a custom card design service.

You cannot print on clamshell cards using an ID card printer. To customize your clamshell cards, print your design on a thin CR79 10mil adhesive card and apply the printed card to the surface of your clamshell card.

Slot Punch Options

Displaying your ID cards with accessories including lanyards or badge reels improves building security and keeps them easily at hand for frequent use during the day. To use the cards with a lanyard or reel, you will need to slot punch the cards.

These clamshell cards are only pre-punched with a vertical slot punch.

Because of their thick materials, it is not recommended that you slot punch clamshell cards in-house.

To use your AlphaPass proximity cards, you'll need a compatible card reader. Compatible readers for this card:

• XceedID proximity readers
• Schlage proximity readers
• aptiQ multi-technology readers
