Zebra recently introduced a new firmware release, version 2.00 for their line of Value class card printers including the P100i, P110m, P110i, and P120i. This release replaces the current firmware version 1.18.25 and is compatible with the current version 8.00 Value class driver.

The new version 2.00 firmware includes new feature updates. The Value class printers now support automatic switching between the card feeder and the manual single-feed modes with a firmware command that allows the printer to accept a card from either the front hand-feed slot or from the card hopper. The updated firmware also includes a new color sensor LED that senses the color ribbon panels.
Before installing the new firmware, note that the firmware version 2.00 is only compatible with driver version 8.00.
Firmware updates are vital to ensuring that you continue to get the best out of your ID card printers. Firmware updates often contain important performance improvements, provide fixes for any bugs or common errors, and help increase the stability of your ID card printing platform.
The firmware updates for the above mentioned Zebra printers and additional products in the Zebra product catalog can be found on the Zebra website.
