Designed to handle high-volume printing needs, the Magicard Prima 4 series of ID card printers delivers security and durability using a unique printing method. The Prima 4 uses an innovative reverse transfer printing process in which the card images are first printed on the underside of a clear film. The film is then fused to the surface of the card. This creates clear and detailed images and also protects the card from tampering. The reverse transfer process is ideal for printing on cards with embedded electronics.

The Prima 4 doesn’t just print on standard PVC ID cards. The Magicard printer is equipped with the ability to print on CR80-sized cards that are made from materials including ABS, PET, PVH and Polycarbonate plastics. It can even be adjusted to print on cards of varying thicknesses from 10 mil up to 80 mil. The Magicard Prima 4 supports Ethernet connectivity for remote operation over a network, making it easy for multiple users to use the printer from multiple locations.
The Prima 4 is available with several different features including single and dual-sided printing, magnetic stripe encoding and single or dual-sided lamination. The Magicard Prima 4 ID card printer is ideal for applications where efficient performance and high-security are important including large corporations, government agencies, financial cards, student ID cards and more.
