Missouri Southern State University is introducing a multifunctional student ID card that will make accessing campus resources more convenient. The new card has a variety of uses around campus including access control and cashless payment.

Students can enjoy convenient access and payments at the rec center, dining halls, book store and health center. Additionally, each student can pay for printing and other charges around campus without having to carry cash. The new cards are a big improvement from the university’s previous card program which only provided basic identification and meal plan point management.
“We saw this as a chance to invest in emerging technologies which we expect to become even more pervasive in the coming years,” said Jeff Gibson, the university’s director of budgeting and operations.
