Magicard HoloPatch

A feature exclusive to Ultra Magicard printers, HoloPatch is a card technology designed to reduce ID card counterfeiting. It's a simple yet extremely effective visual security feature, and can be used with most Magicard printers. It's important to note the HoloPatch is different than Magicard's standard HoloKote system. While HoloKote applies a secure holographic watermark across the surface of your printed cards, HoloPatch actually incorporates a special cardstock featuring a gold "super diffuser" patch. When the two technologies are used together, the HoloPatch gold patch actually highlights one of the individual HoloKote logos that run across the surface of the card making that portion of the watermark an easily-visible gold square.

Essentially, what you get with HoloPatch is a recognizable security mark on your cards that allows for fast visual authentication. The HoloPatch system makes it easy for individuals such as security personnel and co-workers to quickly spot and authenticate ID cards from a distance. If the mark isn't visible, then there's a chance that the ID card is a counterfeit.

HoloPatch is supported by all Magicard ID card printers that also support the HoloKote secure watermark system. This includes Magicard Rio, Tango, Alto, Enduro, Pronto, Tempo, Alto, and Opera printer models.
