Setting Up Emails in Secure

AlphaCard Visitor Pass Secure allows the integration of email communication through SMTP protocol. Emails allow you to send out invites to your visitors, including a barcode to allow them to check in automatically.

Setting up a SMTP Server Connection in Visitor Pass

This article will show you how to enable the SMTP protocol within AlphaCard Visitor Pass Secure.

Please Note: You will need to contact your IT Department or local Network Administrator to provide this information for you. AlphaCard cannot provide, suggest, or configure this information for you, nor can we configure or set up an email address or email server for you.

  1. Click on the Configuration tab.
  2. Click on the Advanced Option tab.
  3. Click on the E-mail option.
  4. Check Enable E-mail Notifications.
  5. Enter your SMTP server name, port, user name, and password. The Sender email address is how recipients will see your email address.
  6. Select which email template you want to update. Guest Template will send to the guest when they are invited to an event. Host will alert the host of the event when their guest arrives. Evacuation Report will send the evacuation report to a pre-defined person or group of people. Blacklist will enable a call for help button that alerts a person or pre-defined group of people if a blacklisted visitor attempts to gain entry to your facility.
  7. To edit the message sent, click the Edit button in the specific message you want to edit.
  8. The message window will open. Edit the message to fit your needs.
  9. Click Save.
