How to Mass Export Images in Secure

By default, all images are stored in the AlphaCard Visitor Pass internal database. If you need them, it is possible to export these images.

How to Export Database Images

For this export process, you will need a folder that you can export images into. We recommend setting aside a particular folder that is otherwise empty. We do not recommend using your Desktop, or other important file locations, especially if you are exporting a large number of images.

  1. Select the Data tab.
  2. Select the option to export images.
  3. In this box, select the folder you want to export the images to.
  4. The column name will select how the images are named when saved into the folder. Please select a database column that is unique for every visitor.
  5. Then select the image type. Any image type can be exported from the internal database, including photo, signature, fingerprint scan, and ID scan. If you collect sensitive data, please consider blocking the ability for users to export images.
  6. Once you are done, click the Export button.

AlphaCard Visitor Pass will either say that the export has been preformed successfully, or alert you to any issues. The most common source of export issues is that a file with the same name already exists. If you are exporting multiple images, please make sure that you are storing each export in its own folder. If this is your first export, please make sure that the column name you are using is completely unique for each database record.
