How to Customize the Database & User Interface in Secure

Since AlphaCard Visitor Pass requires an internal database, the Secure edition allows you to customize both the field names contained in the database and their location in the user interface.

How to Customize Your Database & User Interface

For this example, we are going to change the name of a field that AlphaCard Visitor Pass, by default, does not include in the database UI. Then we will add it to the user interface and move it to the appropriate place.

  1. Go to the Configuration Tab.
  2. Click on Column Attributes.
  3. In the left hand column, select the field that you want to update.
  4. In the center of the screen, type the new field name into the Detail Label Box.
  5. You can also use this screen to make the field available in the main database screen. Click the box for Detail Visible.
  6. You can also require the field to have a value for every visitor. Check the box for Required.
  7. Once you have updated the field as you want, click the Save button.
  8. Once you are back on the main database screen, simply click and drag the field to the location required.
