Updating Firmware on an Enduro

Keeping your ID card printer’s firmware up to date can help you prevent problems with printing.

To begin updating the firmware on your Magicard Enduro ID card printer, you’ll need to download the latest firmware and drivers from the Magicard website. Please note that these steps will work for all printers in the Enduro line including the Enduro, Enduro+, and Enduro 3E (you make need to download a different version of the Enduro drivers and firmware).

  1. Download the Enduro driver. Do not run this file from the internet, you must download it to your computer.
  2. Download the Enduro firmware. Do not run this file from the internet, you must download it to your computer.

Before you begin running the firmware updates, uninstall the current driver version from Add or Remove Programs. If there is a program called “Card Printer,” uninstall it as well. Then reboot your computer.

How to Update Drivers

  1. Double click on the driver you downloaded to start installation.
  2. Click Run, then click Next to verify the available platforms. If prompted to Modify, Repair, or Remove (or Uninstall), select Remove.
  3. Click Restart Windows to complete the installation of the driver. You must restart your computer to successfully install the new driver.
  4. Once the computer is back up, connect your ID card printer. Turn the printer on, and let the Windows Found New Hardware wizard detect and configure the printer.

How to Update Firmware

  1. Double click on the firmware you downloaded to start installation.
  2. Click Run, then click Update.
  3. After the printer initializes, click OK.
