Updating Firmware on a DTC400e

Keeping your ID card printer’s firmware up to date can help you prevent problems with printing.

Please Note: The Fargo DTC400e has been discontinued by the manufacturer. If you need a new printer, the AlphaCard System Selector can help you find the best printer for your needs.

How to Update Firmware

You will need to download and install the Fargo Workbench utility in order to update the printer’s firmware.

The firmware file can be downloaded here: http://www3.hidglobal.com/drivers/15345

1. Open the Fargo Workbench and choose your printer

2. Click on the Update Manager Tab

3. Choose your DTC400e Printer

4. Click on Select firmware file

5. Browse to the folder that contains the firmware file

6. Click on the Begin Updating Tab
