How to Calibrate a Ribbon Sensor on a DTC4000

If your DTC4000 card printer is not properly recognizing your ribbon, either by not recognizing the type of ribbon or acknowledging that a ribbon has been replaced, you will need to calibrate the ribbon sensors on your DTC4000 printer.

Please Note: The Fargo DTC4000 has been discontinued by the manufacturer. If you need a new printer, the AlphaCard System Selector can help you find the best printer for your needs.

To Calibrate Your Printer

1. Go to your Devices and Printers folder.
2. Right click on the DTC4000. Choose printing preferences.
3. Click on ToolBox.
4. Click on the Calibrate Ribbon tab. Follow the directions, and click Calibrate.
