How to Resolve a “Brown Haze” Appearance on DTC1000
If your Fargo DTC1000 card printer is printing with a brown haze on your card, you will need to take the following steps to resolve the issue.
Please Note: The Fargo DTC1000 has been discontinued by the manufacturer. If you need a new printer, the AlphaCard System Selector can help you find the best printer for your needs.
To resolve brown haze
- Got to your devices and printers folder, right click on the DTC1000 and select printing preferences.
- Click on the Tool Box Tab
- Click on the advanced settings tab.
- Scroll to the Resin Heat Adjust Line item
- Increase the Resin Heat Adjustment value to 9 or 10
Your card should now print without any brown haze. If you continue to experience problems, or if the test resulted in an answer other than OK, please contact AlphaCard technical support.
