How to Calibrate a Ribbon Sensor on a DTC1000

If your DTC1000 ID card printer is not properly recognizing your ribbon, either by not recognizing the type of ribbon or acknowledging that a ribbon has been replaced, you will need to calibrate the ribbon sensors on your DTC1000 printer.

Please Note: The Fargo DTC1000 has been discontinued by the manufacturer. If you need a new printer, the AlphaCard System Selector can help you find the best printer for your needs.

To Calibrate Your Printer

1. Go to your Devices and Printers folder.
2. Right click on the DTC1000. Choose printing preferences.
3. Click on the ToolBox tab.
   
4. Click on the Calibrate Ribbon tab.
5. Read the instructions and then click Calibrate.
