How to Resolve Orientation Issues

If your cards are coming out in the wrong orientation from the printer, there are several steps you can take to fix this printing issue with your Magicard  printer and AlphaCard ID Suite v10.

1. Make sure AlphaCard ID Suite has been updated with the latest release from our website. The update should install over your current setup and leave your data intact.
2. Make sure your printer driver and firmware are up to date. Download the newest versions at https://support.magicard.com/.
3. If the above steps do not rectify the issue, inside AlphaCard ID Suite try going into Configuration > Card Designer, click on the blue menu button and go to “Page Setup.”  In that window, go to the Template tab, and if you don’t already have the Enduro selected as the destination printer, choose it, then change the Card Size below it to “CR-80.”  Also, please check the box for “Print Using GDI+ Print Engine,” click OK, save, close out of the designer and try printing again.
4. If none of those fix the issue, the final thing to try is going into your printer driver within your Start Menu > Devices & Printers, right-click on the Enduro icon and go to “Printer Properties.”  In that window, go to the Advanced tab and click on “Printing Defaults,” which should open the driver window.  In there, change the card orientation to the opposite of whatever it is currently set as, then Apply/OK, re-start ID Suite and try another test.
