Should you print on both sides of the card?
It’s a question for the ages – single or double-sided? The printing capacity of your new ID card printer is one of the most essential things to nail down in the decision making process, and a question we walk our customers through each and every day.

First, ask some questions about what your cards will look like. Will you be printing on both sides of the card? Will the back side contain the same information on each card, or will it be different? Many of our clients issuing double-sided cards find that a single-sided card printer works just fine; others need the speed and versatility of a dual-sided printer. The best way to decide which type of printer you need is to complete our Free Needs Analysis or give one of our ID card experts a call.

Why didn't we think of this earlier when we could have satisfied more than our ministers with the kind of id cards that look great and represent who we are as an organization. Works well with our Bible College.

FAQ OF THE MONTH
QUESTION:
After printing a card there is a fine line down the center of the card. What is the problem?

ANSWER:
A perfectly straight white line running the long length of the card means a pixel on the printhead has either burned out or been damaged. Printheads come with a one year factory warranty for internal materials and manufacturing. If the printhead was damaged externally (like if a hard particle got wedged between the card and the printhead while printing) the warranty would be void. Call a support technician to setup an evaluation for the printhead if it's under warranty. Otherwise, they cannot be repaired, only replaced.

Ultra Electronics releases the Magicard Enduro

Alpha Card is proud to announce the release of the Magicard Enduro. The newest in Ultra Magicard's family of ID card printers, the Enduro's most unique and innovative feature is its "drop-in" upgrade system that makes upgrading from single-sided to double-sided printer easier than ever before. Instead of sending the printer back to the manufacturer or having a technician perform the upgrade, the upgrade is easy to perform in the office of your business or organization.

This unparalleled flexibility is complemented by the Enduro's unmatched level of visual security, thanks to Ultra Magicard's HoloPatch (a gold patch that is embedded in specialized blank ID cards) and HoloKote (a holographic overlay).

HoloKote and HoloPatch work together to form an unmistakable security landmark on the card that is both unique and difficult to counterfeit. Call one of our friendly ID card experts today to learn more about this exciting new printer!
