But the Northwest Hospital case played out differently in January 2005. Hospital officials called the FBI immediately, and an agent went to the scene while the attack was in progress. Meanwhile, the hospital used some old-fashioned backup systems. When electronic file transfers didn't work, nurses ran the files up and down hallways. When key cards wouldn't work, they stood guard and inspected ID badges themselves.

Hong Kong's smart ID cards secure online banking
Nearly a dozen banks already employ two-factor authentication tools like e-Cert for high-risk online banking transactions, in accordance with guidelines from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). Bank of America (Asia), BOC Credit Card (International) Limited and Bank of China (Hong Kong) are among the first to announce their use of ACS? ACR30 smart ID card reader, Mr. Leung says.

Officer Recovers Some Stolen Items
There are big developments surrounding the story of a Hilliard police officer whose home was burglarized and his police gear and handguns were stolen.
The officer's stolen truck has been located. Inside the cab were his police uniform, badges, ID card and wallet, but the most important property is no where to be found. Full Article from 10tv.com.

Reporter?s notebook: Visitors come from near and far
Being from little old Ninilchik, I haven?t been able to tell one accent from another. Not only do Games participants trade pins at a furious pace, they also trade clothing, so someone wearing a team jacket from the Yukon might be wearing a sweatshirt from Alaska. And unless I can see someone?s ID badge and match the picture to the face of the person wearing it, asking is the only way to find out.
