During the McDonald's renovation project in Sauk City, Luci Breunig and her two children crossed their fingers hoping a tunnel play area could be incorporated into the design.Breunig often finds herself driving to Madtown Twisters in Middleton or an indoor playground with open gym for toddlers near the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. That's why she plans to turn the old Penguin Bar/restaurant into a recreation center named the Eagle's Perch. She wants more places outside of school for toddlers and teenagers to play.Breunig is planning on using a photo identification card system which can scan when children check in and leave as a safety measure and to keep members accountable for the time they are not at home.

Thieves pose as city workers to rob home
City residents may have found it odd to be getting a phone call from Plymouth Township Police, but that's what happened Friday in the wake of an incident where people posed as city employees to gain entry to a city home. The incident took place Thursday night when a man identifying himself as a city employee gained access to the home of an elderly Plymouth man and his elderly sister.According to Plymouth Police Chief Wayne Carroll, the man and two cohorts pulled up in front of the home in a white vehicle. One man then approached the house and convinced the owner to allow him access.Shortly thereafter, Carroll said, the other two suspects also gained access and, after distracting the sister, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash."It is very important to clearly identify anyone who may enter a home or business," Carroll said.
