Web Developer Intern
THIS POSITION WILL BE STAFFED FROM OUR PORTLAND, OREGON OFFICE; THIS IS NOT A REMOTE OR TELECOMMUTING POSITION.

We are seeking to fill a Web Developer Internship opening in our SW Portland, Oregon (near Bridgeport Village) office that will be a key member of our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of and comfort level with web development as well as the ability and desire to take on new tasks as the work environment dictates. This is a very hands-on position with a unique company undergoing significant growth and change. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced company is a must.

Responsibilities:
1) Develop new web site templates and logos
2) Create new page, logo, and module designs for existing pages, and integrate them into the existing site architecture
3) Work with Web Marketing team to create several different versions of our e-commerce pages
4) Perform basic site maintenance and fixes
5) Assist web marketing team with data gathering and reporting
Qualifications:
Required Skills
- High quality of work and attention to detail
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, cross-browser compatibility, and the ability to code by hand – not using a WYSIWYG program
- Create web graphics with Adobe graphic design tools
- Basic Javascript coding ability
Other Skills Desired
- Experience with Flash and ActionScript coding
- Experience with ASP and/or PHP coding
- Experience with e-commerce websites
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization techniques
Job Environment:
The environment is casual, yet professional. The hours worked may be somewhat flexible, but we would need you during most regular business hours (7 am - 4 pm).
The opportunity for increased sales responsibility exists if you have the interest and ability.
Compensation:
$15-20/hour, depending on experience. Considerable upside compensation potential.
