WYSIWIG Editing - What You See is What You Get

WYSIWYG: an acronym that stands for “What You See Is What You Get”.

This acronym is used to describe software systems that allow users to actually see the results of their editing decisions as they will appear when they’re finished working on them.

This means that representation of an 8 ½ x 11 piece of paper that you see on your computer screen, when you’re using a word processing program, is going to look (almost) exactly like the real piece of paper you see when the document is printed.

In terms of Alpha Card software – and Asure ID card software, Episuite ID card software, and CardFive ID card software - this means that the image of an ID badge that you see on your computer screen is going to look very much like the real ID card that comes out of your ID Card Printer.

And this applies to any type of blank ID card that you wish to use as your template, whether it be smartcard, proximity card, or ID card with a magnetic stripe.

By this stage of development of the photo ID system industry, WYSIWYG editing should come standard in all ID card software applications. But this is yet another reason it is wise to contact a reputable vendor of ID badge software, when browsing for ID card machine applications: not everything one would think standard, always is.
