ID card dispensers cover both the surfaces and sides of ID cards. “Thumb notches” - holes in one face of the ID card dispenser - and “extractor slides” - which, by pushing ID cards out mechanically, prevent contact between smart chips and mag stripes and fingers - are used to remove ID cards from ID card dispensers.
ID cards can be displayed in ID card dispensers either vertically or horizontally, and inserted either from the top (“top-load”) or side (“side-load”).
