Unlike traditional direct-to-card printing, this revolutionary process prints images onto special HDP Film which is then fused to the surface of a card through heat and pressure.
When combined with FARGO�s advanced encoding and lamination technology, the HDP800 Series offers the ultimate solution for your high-end and critical card security applications.
Only FARGO offers you the option of adding lamination to your printer/encoder � even after you�ve purchased it! You can order an HDP820-LC with the Card Lamination Module factory-installed. Or, you can order a standard HDP820, and in the future as your needs change, the module can easily be added. Either way, it�s an intelligent purchase! It applies overlaminate to the front and/or back of most cards � all in the same pass as the printing and encoding! Plus, FARGO�s clear and holographic PolyGuard Overlaminates provide up to 25 times more protection than standard overlays.
The HDP800 Series is designed for simple, worry-free operation. It features drop-in ribbon loading, easy-to-load card hoppers that protect cards, and an automatic card cleaning feature that assures the highest print quality. It also offers high-volume ribbons and overlaminates and a 250-count Card Input Hopper for fast, uninterrupted batch printing. Plus, for maximum card production, it can even be networked with other HDP800 Series printers.
SmartGuard� Printer Security protects your printer/encoder from unauthorized use. SmartGuard is an electronic key that ensures that only authorized personnel can access your HDP800 Series Card Printer/Encoders. It helps you eliminate counterfeit cards and have a more secure system.

* Print speed indicates an approximate batch print speed and is measured from the time a card feeds into the printer to the time it ejects from the printer. Print speeds do not include the time needed for the PC to process the image. Process time is dependent of the size of the file, the CPU, amount of RAM and the amount of available resources at the time of the print.
