Fargo HDP600 Printer
Fargo HDP600 card printer with magnetic stripe encoding
Multinational corporations, universities and other large organizations that hold security in high esteem require an ID card printer that combines advanced anti-forgery technology and professional photo-quality printing. The Fargo HDP600 uses a special card generation process in which the printhead etches images and text onto the underside of high definition film, which bonds to the plastic card using pressure and heat. Not only does this ensure that no one can peel the film away from the plastic without obliterating the card face, it also eliminates the possibility of unwanted white borders or printhead damage-- problems common in direct-to-card printers.
This model of the HDP600 comes equipped with a dual high and low-coercivity magnetic stripe encoder, which makes it easy for you to create integrated employee time and access systems, or student ID cards that also keep track of borrowed library books and store cafeteria meal credits. If you choose, you may upgrade your printer by purchasing a contact smart card encoder, proximity card encoder or a laminating unit at any time for field installation.
