Fargo HDP5000 single-sided color card printer with single-sided laminator
When you need to print vast quantities of secure, professional cards, the HDP5000 offers state-of-the-art card printing technology for the best quality imaging possible. Instead of traditional direct-to-card printing, the Fargo HDP series first prints onto a special film, then affixes the film to a plastic card with pressure and heat. Not only does this make your cards more difficult to alter, since any attempt to remove this film will destroy the images, it also makes sure that your cards never have the unwanted white borders that sometimes occur with direct-to-card printers. Plus, if you choose to include an optional smart card encoder, the surface ridges that the embedded chips create will not affect print quality, since the printhead never touches the card itself.
Lamination helps protect your cards from forgery, as well as prolonging a card's lifespan exponentially. This single-sided laminator is ideal for those who wish to purchase an optional magnetic stripe encoder-- which, like the smart card encoder, may be installed in the factory or post-purchase, in the field. Choose from clear overlaminate, or use holographic laminate for additional security.
