All HDP printers use a patented reverse transfer technique, in which the printhead marks the backside of a special film, which is then bonded to the card using heat and pressure. No more unseemly white borders-- ever!
Modular design allows you to upgrade your HDP5000 as need dictates. Order a high and low-coercivity magnetic stripe encoder, a contact and contactless smart card encoder or a lamination module when you buy your printer or later on. It comes with a 100-card capacity input hopper, but you may upgrade to a 200-card hopper if you anticipate larger print jobs. And with Ethernet networking capability, you can authorize multiple users to print from anywhere on your network while you store the printer in a secure location.
