For organizations that require expedient, professional card printing, the Fargo DTC550 printer generates one two-sided, full-color card in roughly 35 seconds. This model of the DTC550-LC includes a high and low-coercivity, three-track magnetic stripe encoder, as well as a lamination module. Lamination increases the life of your cards exponentially and helps guard against forgery. If you like, you may use holographic overlaminate for additional security. When you print on two sides, you may print larger photos and cardholder information on one side, with a magnetic stripe, barcode or other text and information on the back side. If you're interested in purchasing a smart card encoder or proximity card reader, you can add them at the time of purchase or later on, in the field.
With Fargo's trademark easy-load ribbon cartridge, maintenance is simpler than ever. It doesn't require feeding any ribbon, and it includes a card-cleaning roller so that you don't have to wrestle with a separate card-cleaning device (since clean cards mean better print quality). The DTC550 allows you to print dozens of cards at once, and dual card input hoppers allow you to print two different types of cards, on two different types of cardstock, at once.
