Magicard Photo ID Makers Product Focus: Magicard Rio 2
The Magicard Rio 2 is a robust ID card printer that features metal print engine construction. It’s a fine choice for single-sided batch-printing projects, and can easily handle high-volume runs. Its flexibility makes the Rio 2 well suited for a variety of professional environments. Encoding options include proximity card technology, smart chip encoding, magnetic stripes and barcodes.
Like all Magicard printers, the Rio 2 also uses the company’s patented Holokote technology to create a high-security watermark which can be applied to the entire surface of each card as a holographic overlay. Holokote adds visual security while also protecting the cards from everyday wear and tear.
The Rio 2 comes standard with USB, Ethernet, and parallel interfaces for easy connectivity and networking. It’s also one of the industry’s fastest photo ID makers, capable of producing full-color cards in 22 seconds, and monochrome cards in only 6 seconds.
