Detailed print quality that’s over-the-edge
The print quality of HDP technology is outstanding. The Fargo HDP820LC prints 16.7 million colors at 300 dpi for unsurpassed image clarity and
depth. It prints tightly to the edge of any size smart chip, as well as
over-the-edge of a card, giving you professional-quality prints with absolutely
no white borders. Even on oversized cards!
Tamper-resistant printing on nearly any card
Because graphics and text are printed on the underside of the HDP Film,
the image is “sandwiched” between the durable film and the card.
The result? Remarkably secure cards that are virtually tamperproof. Plus,
the HDP800 Series shatters the boundaries of direct-to-card printers by
allowing you to print card sizes from CR-80 up to CR-100. You can even
print on cards that are extra thick or that have irregular surfaces, like
popular clamshell proximity cards or smart cards.
Unsurpassed e-card encoding capabilities
Only the HDP800 Series can encode up to three different e-card technologies
plus a magnetic stripe on a single card — all in one pass! It prints
and encodes/reads standard e-card types, including contact smart cards,
contactless smart cards and proximity cards. It’s your one-step solution
for access control, time and attendance, cafeteria, vending applications
and more.
Revolutionary Card Lamination Module makes it easy to have durable
and secure cards
Only FARGO offers you the option of adding lamination to your printer/encoder — even after you’ve purchased it! You can order an Fargo HDP820LC with the Card Lamination Module factory-installed. Or, you can order a
standard HDP820, and in the future as your needs change, the module can
easily be added. Either way, it’s an intelligent purchase! It applies
overlaminate to the front and/or back of most cards — all in the
same pass as the printing and encoding! Plus, FARGO’s clear and holographic
PolyGuard Overlaminates provide up to 25 times more protection than standard
overlays.
Uncompromising performance
You might expect a printer/encoder with such high print quality and vast
capabilities to compromise on performance. Not this one. It comes standard
with 8MB of memory, a Windows® printer driver, and independent printing
and encoding stations.
It also offers high-volume ribbons and overlaminates and a 250-count
Card Input Hopper for fast, uninterrupted batch printing. Plus, for maximum
card production, it can even be networked with other HDP800 Series printer/encoders.
