High Definition Printing Means Total Flexibility

Fargo’s unique over-the-edge printing process is totally different from any other type of printing process available on the market today. Instead of printing directly onto the card, the card’s contents are first printed onto an advanced HDP (high definition printing) film, which is then applied to the card. Along with making the card nearly immune to most normal wear-and-tear, the high definition film makes it difficult to alter or change the card. This unique printing process also makes it easy to print high quality color images on any type of ID card, including “clamshell” RFID cards and smart cards with embedded technology.

Modular Design Gives Room for Expansion

Unlike other card printers, which come pre-set with certain security features, the Fargo HDP5000’s modular design allows you to add different features as your needs grow. The base model of the HDP5000 is a single-sided color ID printer. Need more features? Modules for double-sided printing; laminating; holographic overlay printing; and encoding for magnetic stripes, RFID, contact and contact-less smartcards are all available and easily added on. This wide array of features makes the HDP5000 infinitely customizable and appropriate for any sized business. Best of all, the HDP 5000 will grow with you as your needs change. Want to beef up security? It’s as simple as adding another module.
