Lamination material for the Fargo HDP5000 can be purchased in clear or with holographics (standard or custom). Alteration is next to impossible because as the layers of the card are peeled back, text and images are destroyed.
High Definition Printing
Fargo high definition printers produce crisp text and images while also adding an additional protective layer against tampering and daily wear and tear. With high definition printing, the images are first printed on a special film which is then fused to the card using heat and pressure. The resulting images are stunningly detailed and vivid. Because the process eliminates direct contact with the print head, high definition printing is the superior choice for producing cards with uneven surfaces, such as those with smart chips or embedded electronics.

A SmartScreen LCD panel guides the user with status messages throughout the printing process. Cleaning the machine is also a snap because each printer cartridge comes with a cleaning roller.
