System Improvements

The Evolis Dualys3 ID card printer expands on previous Dualys models by offering a number of new exciting features including an updated CPU and print head for enhanced image quality and definition, as well as a “Color Profile” feature which allows the user to see on screen colors that accurately match those which are printed.

Speed and Performance

A highly advanced print engine allows the Dualys3 to produce high-definition ID badges in mere seconds. Actual speed depends on card design and printer specifications (dual-sided cards, for instance, can be printed at a rate of 125 cards/hour in color). The color printing module utilizes a 300 dpi print head and operates using color dye sublimation and monochrome thermal transfer technology for dual-sided edge-to-edge printing.

Flexibility, Easy Integration

One of the greatest benefits of the Dualys3 is its versatility in terms of providing a variety of security and encoding options to choose from when creating custom ID cards. The Dualys3 is capable of magnetic stripe encoding, as well as both contact smart chip and contactless (RFID) smart card encoding. It’s even possible to produce multifunctional ID badges which combine these technologies on one card in a single pass. Additionally, modular and scalable solutions enable the printer to adapt to changing customer needs.

User-Friendly Operation

The Dualys3 ID card printer is a plug and print device. It’s designed to be extremely user-friendly. A setup wizard walks new users through the installation process with step-by-step instructions as basic configurations are performed. A print manager is included with the driver enhancing interaction with instant on-screen notifications in conjunction with the 4-LED information panel.
